ORIGIN OF THE WORD The word ULZZANG came from the prefix Ul- (-a slang that means "face" or "based on face." The term is derived from the Korean word "Uhl-Gool," meaning "face.") and the suffix -Zzang (-a slang that means the "best" or "best at/in." Unlike the term "Ul-," the term "Zzang" can be used as a noun that simply means "the best."). In general, the word ULZZANG means BEST FACE. ULZZANGS AND THEIR PICS Many Ulzzangs use web camera program, such as Haduri, are popular among teens in Korea, China and Japan. Some also take normal or digicam pictures and even use Photoshop to edit themselves. Once Ulzzangs Photoshop their photos, their normal looks are changed. Ulzzangs who use Photoshop, often edit their eyes to make them look bigger and to cover their flaws. To become an Ulzzang, girls often buy products for their face. This includes the fake eyelashes, circle lens/contacts for the eyes, makeup, foundations, eyelid tape and etc. HOW DO ULZZANGS GET FAMOUS? Many Ulzzang WANNABES post up their pictures on various websites, voting and chatting can be done on many of them. Contests sites, both on the net and in real life, are often used to pick the best Ulzzangs, but you don't necessarily need to enter or win. Some Ulzzangs, have not relied solely on the internet. For example, some have gained popularity at school for being attractive. Most ulzzangs, however, use the internet to share their photos, and that's how many become popular.
